Requirements

Construction will upgrade the facility infrastructure to support the new Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) system in accordance with VA OEHRM Site Infrastructure Requirements (provided by VHA). Services will provide for the correction of all Information Technology (IT) infrastructure Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) deficiencies at the Carl Vinson Medical Center, Dublin, Georgia. This project will bring each IT closet up to code including the following infrastructure improvements: Electrical (electrical panel upgrade, power (normal, emergency) installing convenience outlets,), Bonding, UPS, Building Management System interfaces, assess for new and upgrades to existing HVAC, adding HVAC controls, reconfiguration, expansion and renovation of existing space (demo, new construction, finishes), communication infrastructure (new Data outlets, patch panels, upgrade to Cat 6A cable) in buildings as necessary, physical security upgrades, assess and upgrade fiber infrastructure backbone campus wide within buildings and between buildings, install diversified path to datacenter for WAN, installing anti-static/dust preventative flooring, site prep needs for training space/modular buildings, hazardous material abatement. The objective is to remedy all deficiencies reported on the Dublin FCA report, as well as work with the IT department to correct deficiencies on the FISI Site Survey Checklist and to prepare the site for Electronic Health Record Modernization.
