Requirements

  • Whole building renovation of historic building 275 and connected building 259, Trolley Station, with historic restoration for interior and exterior aspects of the building. All systems will be replaced: mechanical; electrical; communications; security; fire and life safety. Architectural revisions to improve layout and update interiors. Replace windows to match historic look meeting current anti-terrorism/force protection standards. Repairs needed to exterior include masonry patching/repairs, repointing, concrete spall repairs, foundation waterproofing, roofing, and similar. Reconfiguration of parking area and ancillary utility work in support of the renovation. Building 275 is a contributing structure to the Fort Leavenworth National Landmark Historic District; all work will be done in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior Standards for Historic Preservation.
