Lake 254108 Relocate Callville Bay Requirements

Scope of work:

  • The Project does contain design and installation of a floating steel barge and wave attenuator system, these features will be performance-based specification.
  • The Project will include underwater construction for setting and connecting deadman anchors for the barge and wave attenuator.
  • The Project will include Structural Tests or Special Inspections related to the concrete slab-on-grade foundations for the UV Reactor and Generator foundation; concrete anchor blocks; geotechnical testing for installation of underground utilities, welding for work on the steel barge and wave attenuator. Additional special inspections may be reserved for the construction of the barge and wave attenuator.
  • The Project has multiple long lead items to include but not limited to; turbine pumps, UV Reactor, UV Enclosure, Generator, Wave Attenuator and Barge.
  • The Project includes a requirement to work with NV Energy for utility coordination.  NV Energy will be providing design and installation of a new power transformer to replace the existing transformer located near campground loop D. The remaining power systems to the UV enclosure and barge will be the responsibility of the contractor.
  • The Project does contain demolition activities of existing electrical and piping equipment that may contain hazardous materials including asbestos cement pipe and a small volume of petroleum-based products and contamination.
  • The Project will require navigation warning buoys.
  • The Project does contain requirements of significant excavation for pipeline construction and near surface hard rock was encountered in geotechnical investigations
