Maintain Roads And Parking Surfaces Requirements

  • The Contractor shall provide all construction services, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the requirements identified in this scope and the project design drawings and specifications.
  • Provide adequate professional supervision, quality control, environmental, and safety measures to ensure the accuracy, quality, timeliness, delivery, and completeness of the work during the execution of the construction.
  • The project is comprised of surface treatment of roads with Slurry Seal Type II, crack cleaning and sealing, and new markings on treated roads to include lane separation lines, crosswalks, directional arrows, and parking lot markings. All markings will be replaced as they were found.
  • All cracks larger than 0.25 inches wide shall be repaired except for Falcon St. Follow requirements for crack sealing specified in UFGS 32 01 17.61 Sealing Cracks in Asphalt Paving.
  • All asphalt roads as indicated within attached Map shall receive a Slurry Seal type II treatment. Slurry Seal shall be installed per the International Slurry Seal Association specification ISSA A105 and UFC 3 250 03, Chapter 4.
  • All markings (except for parking lots) shall retroreflective as specified in UFGS 32 17 23 Pavement Markings to match existing markings.
  • Traffic Control: A traffic control plan, project phasing plan, and schedule shall be submitted for approval prior to any work being performed. All facilities along roads and streets receiving work shall have continuous and uninterrupted access to the maximum extent possible. All traffic control shall conform to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUCTD).
