Requirements

  • The Contractor shall provide everything necessary to perform the tasks as identified herein for the storage of containerized HHG in the Continental United States (CONUS) as well as Alaska and Hawaii. This includes but is not limited to, personnel, supervision, training, licenses, permits, and equipment necessary to perform the tasks as identified herein, in accordance with (IAW) Defense Transportation Regulations (DTR) Parts II, IV, and V, Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) CONUS Personal Property Consignment Instruction Guide, (PPCIG), OCONUS PPCIG Country Instructions, and all other applicable regulations to include all amendments and supplements. The Contractor shall assume all responsibility from the point of receipt to the point of custody of HHG transfers to a Government-designated receiving party. The Contractor’s responsibilities include but are not limited to (1) operating storage facility(s); (2) handling-in HHG; (3) storage of HHG; (4) ensuring adequate protection of shipments is provided at all times; (5) handling-out of HHG; (6) payment of HHG loss or damage claims; and (7) transfer, movement, and storage of NTS Tender of Service (TOS) legacy shipments.
