NZPVA Renew Veterinary Hospital Requirements

  • The Work includes but is not limited to (Demolition of the existing space including walls, ceilings, piping, lighting, mechanical equipment, and flat roof assembly to structure. Selective demolition of floor slabs for replacement of under slab piping and casework Cutting and patching of existing elements to accommodate the new work. Construction and renovation of walls, ceilings, finishes, piping, lighting, casework, mechanical and specialty equipment. Installation of a new exhaust duct and fan, associated mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. Establishment of a temporary surgical suite and swing space. Exterior improvements include site work, electrical utility improvements, a new dock leveler, canopy over the ambulance bay, and animal holding stalls with secondary containment. Successful offerors MUST be capable of performing all work described and contemplated by this solicitation.

Critical Elements of the Work: The successful Contractor shall be fully qualified to install critical elements of the Work.

· Working with an occupied campus and facility with Staff and Animals

· Coordination of Specialty Trades within a small site footprint

· Coordination and installation of specialty animal doors, shifting systems and manually operated remote door controls.

· Coordination and installation of multiple subsurface utility systems in a congested area, including removal and replacement of drainage / sanitary and water conveying systems.

· Coordination and installation of animal containment

· Renovation of surgical suite, radiology, treatment room, and animal holding facilities.

· Replacement of medical gas and vacuum systems

· Abatement of hazardous materials

· As-built documentation and BIM modeling
