The USPTO is at the cutting edge of the nation’s technological progress and achievement and information technology underpins every action and workflow process within the USPTO. An important component of the USPTO agenda is leveraging information technology to improve and enhance granting U.S. patents and registering trademarks,enable the USPTO to maintain current business production, and meet legislative and legal requirements.

Requirements

  • The objective of the STaaS effort is to:
    • Optimize and improve efficiency of managed storage while meeting hybrid model service level agreements and the ever-increasing demands for security, performance, scalability, and agility by leveraging Patent and Trademark Office Acquisition Guidelines (PTAG) in accordance with the Patent and Trademark Office Efficiency Act (PTOEA), 35 U.S.C. 2(b)(4)(A). USPTO envisions a cloud first model, meaning the storage solution starts with target state of cloud majority hosting
