Background

TMIT is focused on conducting comprehensive material inspections/assessments on all Pacific Fleet surface ships using INSURVs Sequence of Events (SOE) and inspection criteria at intervals prescribed in the SFTRM, constructing detailed final reports, and disseminating an accurate snap shot of the ships current material condition to N00 and Staff leadership.

The mission of TMIT is to conduct ship material inspections at READ-E 2, 5, 6, and 7, as well as assist the Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) during their Material Inspections (MIs) using the SFTRM and INSURV procedures, standards, and guidance. Support TYCOM Sea Trials and when requested, Ready For Sea Assessments (RFSA) on all Pacific Fleet ships and/or crews during READ-E 5 using SFTRM, Navy Department Organization and Regulations Manual, International Regulations for Prevention of Collisions at Sea, 1972 (72COLREGS), and U.S. Inland Navigation Rules’ procedures, standards, and guidance.

Requirements

  • The Contractor shall provide up to 36 Subject Matter Experts (SME) in various functional areas to include: Deck, Combat Systems, Aviation, Propulsion systems to include Marine Gas Turbines or Diesel Engines, Auxiliaries, Electrical, Damage Control, Aegis and Non-Aegis Weapons Systems, Undersea Warfare, Communications, Navigation, and Navy Environmental Protection.
