Requirements

  • The scope of work involves upgrading the fire alarm system in the main hospital bldg. 1, bldg. 2, 3, 8, 14, 15, 16, parking garage, and the VA Cincinnati Site.
  • Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, fire alarm, electrical, telecommunications, and site work, necessary for demolition and removal of existing fire alarm system including ceilings, piping and certain other items necessary for completion and installation of new fire alarm system work.
  • Due to the fire alarm and electric shutdowns required, some of this work will have to be scheduled outside of normal facility business hours. All existing fire alarm devices in the affected work areas shall be operational at-all-times.
  • New fire alarm devices shall be replaced by zone by floor. Contractor to demolish existing fire alarm system once new system is tested and operational.
