Background

Technical Operations (AJW) is part of the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization (ATO). AJW’s mission is to ensure a safe and efficient National Airspace System (NAS) through the effective management of air navigation services and infrastructure. The scope of AJW’s mission includes the integration, management, operation, maintenance, and modernization of the systems and services that comprise the NAS.

The primary objective of the AISS contract is to obtain specialized technical and management services to support the fulfillment of AJW’s mission in an integrated manner that addresses enterprise-level trade-offs and AJW’s organizational objectives. With the AISS contract, AJW is seeking to integrate the support provided across multiple areas to improve efficiency, communications, and collaboration – both across the contractor support staff and relative to their interaction with AJW.
