TTB protects the public by enforcing the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) and the Federal Alcohol Administration Act (FAA Act) to ensure that only qualified persons engage in the alcohol industry. TTB is responsible for enforcing the laws regulating alcohol production, importation, and wholesale businesses; tobacco manufacturing and importing businesses; and alcohol labeling and advertising. TTB has two major locations at TTB’s Headquarters Offices (HQ) in Washington, D.C. and the National Revenue Center (NRC) in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Bureau also provides support out of two laboratories and several Field Offices in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
