Background

The objective of this acquisition is to allow National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), through its Division of Compensation Analysis and Support (DCAS), to fulfill its obligations under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Act (EEOICPA), performing dose reconstructions for claims referred by DOL (Department of Labor) and evaluating petitions for additions of classes to the SEC (Special Exposure Cohort).
