Requirements

  • Contractor shall completely prepare project areas for construction operations, including selective demolition and removal of existing materials, and furnishing all necessary tools, equipment, labor, materials, temporary equipment and items, specialty services, supervision. Perform all work to demolish 9500 sf existing roof plaza system to allow the construction of a new, approximately 7,300 sf building to house a new PT OT RT Gym (Physical, Occupational, and Recreational Therapy) for the Spinal Cord Injury / Disorders Clinic (SCID/D) at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System – Seattle Campus. The new building also includes an approximately 750 sf transitional apartment, with the purpose of helping patients practice living in a residential environment. Additionally, there is storage space and 1,700 sf mezzanine for staff observation and office space. This project prioritizes compliance with current VA SCI/D Center Design Guide specifications and VA Space Planning Criteria-Chapter 104. Provide all architectural, mechanical, and electrical work.
