  • The SRS is a 310-square mile federal reservation located in Aiken, Barnwell, and Allendale counties in South Carolina, established in 1951. Primarily constructed to produce basic materials for nuclear weapons, this site encompasses numerous facilities for nuclear materials processing, waste management, and environmental remediation, including the storage of high-level radioactive waste and former reactor facilities

  • As a result, the SRS requires a contractor, that has the capability of obtaining a facility clearance, to provide support personnel responsible for planning, integrating, managing, and executing the programs, projects, operations, and other activities with minimum oversight and guidance by DOE, while remaining in compliance with all applicable regulations and enabling the effective execution of the mission
  • Therefore, the DOE anticipates that this requirement will include the positions listed and described in Attachment 1, U.S. Department of Energy, Federal Support Services, dated January 6, 2026.
