Requirements

  • The project will renourish approximately 2.8 miles of shoreline along Gasparilla Island just north of Boca Grande Pass in Lee County, Florida between FDEP Range Monuments R-10 and R-25.
  • Beach compatible sand for the project will be dredged from the north ebb shoal of Boca Grande Pass, approximately 1.5 miles offshore of the southern limit of the project.
  • Project work also includes, but is not limited to, MEC construction support, beach tilling, vibration monitoring, turbidity monitoring, sea turtle trawl sweeping and relocation, and environmental species observers.
