Requirements

KC-135 Program Office is seeking industry feedback on replacement of the KC-135 Fuel Management System and Flight Display Systems

  • Fuel Management System – indication, command, and weight and balance
  • Flight Display System– pilot input/output displays on flight deck

Five components within the Fuel Management System and Flight Display Systems are facing obsolescence in the near future. These components include:

  • Integrated Fuel Management Panel (IFMP)
  • Fuel Management Advisory Computer (FMAC)
  • Control Display Units (CDU)
  • Tank Interface Unit (TIU)
  • Multi-Functional Displays (MFD)§Requirement:

To replace the KC-135 Fuel Management and Flight Display Systems. Also looking to improve these systems to enable better performance, supportability and future growth to allow continued KC-135 operations beyond 2040.

  • Provide system advancement ideas for the five components and the supporting equipment of:
  • Airspeed Indicator
  • Altimeter
  • Clock
  • Various indicators/annunciators located on pilot/copilot instrument panels
  • Fuel temperature gauge
  • Free air temperature gauge
  • Hydraulic quantity gauges
  • Series yaw damper pressure gauge
