Background

Requirements

  • This contract will provide technical support for the design of new facilities and sites in support of the deployment of missile systems sites for the Government. This support is for the development and rehabilitation of tactical, tactical support, and non-tactical facilities supporting the Missile Defense and Operations mission including missile control buildings, industrial workshops, power plants, communications facilities, administration buildings, ancillary structures, new and rehab road work, utility work, and building systems work, and various other facilities as needed to meet the mission. To successfully complete these projects requires specialized engineering services including, but not limited to, High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP), Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM), and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) design and analysis. These designs require firm experience in radar, missile launch and command and control facilities, communications infrastructure in support of command control and battle management systems, tactical support facilities, nontactical facilities and various other facilities that may be required to support the mission.
  • Specific requirements are expected to include, but will not be limited to the following:
    • Design of facilities and sites including the preparation of design criteria, A&E designs, specifications, design-related analyses, and studies.
    • Economic analyses and cost estimates.
    • Additional support may include the following: environmental documentation; permits; special studies; other environmental activities as required by federal, state, and local laws and regulations; feasibility studies, geotechnical investigations and topographical mapping services, programmatic support services, as-builts, and engineering and design during construction.
