Background

NAVMETOCCOM, with its subordinate organizations, is responsible for the direction of the Naval Oceanography Program (NOP), which provides operational oceanography; meteorology; precise time and astrometry; and Geospatial Information and Services (GI&S) to the operating forces of the Navy and DoD.
