Requirements

  • The MSC EPF vessels are U.S. Government (Government) vessels and will be maintained in various states of readiness, tracking with supported headquarters mission assignments and guidance. Periodic maintenance and material condition assessments will need to be completed by Ship’s Force, Government personnel, and MSC contracted personnel at the lay-berth facility. The facility will provide a safe berth with adequate security, fendering, mooring points, and ability to perform shipboard maintenance. Berthing requirements will include adequate strength and area to allow the vessel’s stern ramp deployment.
