Background

  • Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic develops, delivers and sustains communications and information capabilities for warfighters, keeping them connected anytime, anywhere. NIWC Atlantic is at the forefront of research, engineering and acquisition efforts that are focused on providing mission critical capabilities. Products and services transform ships, aircraft and vehicles from individual platforms into integrated warfighting capabilities that deliver and enhance information dominance and awareness among Navy, Marine, joint forces, federal agencies and international allies.
  • The NIWC Atlantic, Office of the CTO’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Science & Technology (S&T) Support cell provides support services to DARPA on a number of DARPA programs. Each of these programs require support for the logistics, operations, and event execution to demonstrate and evaluate the program developed technologies. In addition, NIWC Atlantic will require the same level of support to transition the program developed technologies to the warfighter.

Requirements

Contractor shall:

  • Manage all activities related to the logistics and execution of the DARPA events.
  • Hold daily/weekly meetings to ensure continuous communication as the event logistics
    and execution plan is developed and executed. Contractor shall participate in weekly status calls with the
    government team to relay event planning developments, raise issues and coordinate solutions across the
    geographically diverse teams. Contractor shall travel to events and/or vendor sites as needed and provide site survey
    trip reports. (CDRL #A002)
  • Provide onsite management of all logistics and execution activities during event
    execution. Contractor shall oversee vendor staff, negotiate shift work schedules and ensure general continuity of
    event operations. Contractor shall be authorized to make incidental ODC purchases in direct support of event
    operations and shall perform inventory management of any materials purchased under this task order. Contractor
    shall travel to each event and/or vendor sites as needed.
  • Coordinate with all participating teams to arrange for participation, shipping of Contractor Acquired Equipment, and registration.
  • Coordinate all shipping and receiving of all Contractor Acquired Material/Property and Government material and equipment to and from the events.
  • Assist with the site selection. The contractor shall assist with all site coordination,
    scheduling, and operations (e.g. UAV flight authorization/wavers). The contractor shall customize or design and
    build the selected test environment to be representative of the intended operational environment.
