Requirements

  • The Contractor shall operate and maintain seven Government-Owned USNS BOB HOPE Class Large, Medium-Speed, Roll-On/Roll-Off (LMSRs) vessels. These ships, USNS BOB HOPE, USNS BENAVIDEZ, USNS BRITTIN, USNS FISHER, USNS MENDOCA, USNS SEAY, and USNS PILILAAU, are employed in the worldwide prepositioning and transportation of Government cargo, including but not limited to: hazardous, explosive/ammunition, vehicular, bulk, and general cargoes. At contract performance commencement and throughout the performance period of this contract, it is anticipated that two of the ships (USNS SEAY and USNS PILILAAU) will be in Full Operating Status (FOS) and five ships (USNS BOB HOPE, USNS BENAVIDEZ, USNS BRITTIN, USNS FISHER, and USNS MENDOCA) will be in Reduced Operating Status (ROS).
