Background

Requirements

  • The contractor shall support Functional Area Management of the METOC GI&S IT portfolio with the goal of the portfolio being compliant with all existing and emergent policy, guidance, instruction, business rules and processes as well as providing timely resolution of Echelon II stakeholder requests for action/advice on applications/systems within the METOC GI&S IT portfolio.
  • This effort also includes tasking to support compliance, maintenance and support of systems and applications that the Commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (CNMOC) is associated to as a stakeholder.
  • Provide technical support, administrative support and subject matter expertise to the METOC GI&S Functional Area as required for successful alignment and compliance of the METOC GI&S Functional Area IT Portfolio to current and emerging Naval IT strategies, policies and business rules.
  • The person working this task is considered key personnel. On a daily basis, the contractor will act as the primary interface between U.S. Navy Echelon II, Marine Corps IT portfolio managers, and the METOC GI&S IT portfolio housed in the official Navy repository (currently DADMS and DITPR-DON). The goal is for the METOC GI&S Functional Area IT portfolio to be compliant with all existing and emergent policy, guidance, instruction, business rules and processes. Additionally, requests and issues generated by Echelon 1 and Echelon II portfolio managers should be addressed and resolved in a timely manner to avoid impacts to their operations.
