Requirements

  • OCONUS SPV support includes, but is not limited to, sourcing food and beverage items; receiving and consolidating product; warehousing and inventory management; quality control, quality assurance, and inspections; transportation and security of product; personnel management; accepting orders electronically and meeting required delivery dates; as well as extensive reporting requirements. OCONUS SPV support is subject to several applicable regulations, including: i) the Berry Amendment, 10 U.S.C. 4862, which generally requires that food items purchased by the Department of Defense must be grown, reprocessed, or produced in the United States or its possessions, and ii) the Cargo Preference Act.
