Background

ADVTE, as a persistent and integrated system-of-systems solution, currently has the capability to network various Type/Model/Series (T/M/S) Marine Corps Aviation Training System (MC ATS) training devices located across Second (2D) and Third (3D) Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) locations for the purposes of conducting multi-site, multi Type/Model/Series (T/M/S) simulated networked training missions to maintain proficiency and enhance aircrew readiness.

Currently ADVTE consists of the telecommunications infrastructure and Network Exercise Control Center (NECC) configuration items linking all USMC aircrew simulators into an integrated networked training environment. The NECC is the centralized point of connection for all MC ATS devices (located at selected sites identified below) as it functions as the main exercise control center. The NECCs support multiple training federations operating simultaneously, and digital recording of missions for playback from selectable audio and video channels to support Joint Brief/De-Brief requirements.

Requirements

  • Implement planned upgrades/enhancements to the fielded baseline of ADVTE across Marine Aviation Training System Sites (MATSS) and other ADVTE access points. Includes upgrades/enhancements to Network Exercise Control Centers and USMC Tactical Environment, interoperability assessment(s) and implementation of new, best of breed, solutions to support continued and enhanced Distributed Mission and LVC training.
