Beach Renourishment Ocean Ridge Requirements

  • The Jacksonville District of the US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking interested bidders for a project work that will renourish 1.4 miles of shoreline in Palm Beach County, within the Town of Ocean Ridge. Ocean Ridge is located between Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Range Monuments R-153 and R-159. The sand for the project will be sourced from two offshore borrow areas. The north borrow area is located approximately 0.78 nautical miles from the midpoint of the project fill area. The south borrow area is located approximately 0.5 nautical miles from the midpoint of the project fill area. Work also includes but is not limited to environmental species monitoring, sea turtle trawling (hopper dredges only), turbidity monitoring, beach tilling, beach fill quality control, screening, and vibration control and monitoring. The Ocean Ridge segment is located in the town of Ocean Ridge in Palm Beach County
