Requirements

  • The scope of work includes:
    • Pump stations to provide pumping capacity range from 6,000 cfs to 10,000 cfs during coastal storm surge events.
    • Sector gate structures with an 84’ width to allow for navigation along the bayous, which will remain in an open position except during coastal storm surge events and routine activities such as testing and maintenance.
    • Vertical lift floodgates to allow for normal channel flow along the bayous.
    • Concrete floodwalls
    • Levee construction in marsh/wetland environment
    • Channel realignment
