Requirements

  • The work includes the construction of a CGTP with a 18,125 square foot building using tilt-up concrete panel construction to treat contaminants of concern. The CGTP Building includes a Process Area with elevated platform, Carbon Delivery Area, Electrical Room, Utility/Maintenance Room, Restroom/Shower and Control Room. Building construction also includes influent and effluent sumps equipped with vertical turbine pumps and a wastewater sump with submersible pumps. The treatment process includes a total of four 350 gpm treatment trains with bag filters located upstream and downstream of two carbon adsorbers in series. Treatment also includes UV advanced oxidation process (AOP) treatment with a hydrogen peroxide feed system. The CGTP includes ancillary process equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation/control and fire protection system.
  • Construction of the CGTP includes civil site improvements regarding miscellaneous site piping from extraction wells, site piping to recharge wells, metered water supply vault/piping for fire protection with backflow prevention, fire hydrants, metered water service, stormwater improvements and septic tank/leach field. Civil site work also includes access road improvements, final grading, site restoration and incidental related work.
