DBB Super Hornet Procurement Requirements

  • This is for the Design-Bid-Build (D-B-B) construction of Quick Reaction Area (QRA), Combat Aircraft Loading Area (CALA), related site improvements, demolition of existing pavement, construction of new concrete and asphalt pavement, and incidental related work. Each QRA Parking Shelter will house two (2) aircraft, is separated by reinforced barricades, and will include equipment pads. Each CALA sunshade will house one (1) aircraft, is separated by reinforced barricades, and contains aircraft static grounding points and tie down locations. The QRA will house eight (8) aircraft and the CALA will house five (5) aircraft. Facilities will be designed as permanent construction in accordance with the Department of Defense (DoD) Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 1-200-01, General Building Requirements and UFC 1-200-02, High Performance and Sustainable Building Requirements.
