Background

Requirements

  • The type of projects being considered for execution as part of this contract include but are not limited to new construction, new work associated with renovations or additions, additions, upgrades, repairs, refits, maintenance enhancements, equipment and component replacement, make-ready work for larger efforts, new footprint construction (adding square footage), seismic retrofit of existing facilities, renovation of existing space, upgrade of utility and building systems, non-recurring maintenance, parking garages, site improvements, and demolition.  Land acquisition is not included in the scope of this MATOC.
  • The scope of Design-Build (DB) services may include, but not limited to the following: design/construction documents and construction work consisting of providing all labor, equipment, and materials for a complete buildout, commissioning, and coordination with activation services on those contracts requiring outfitting interface and subsequent design or construction services.  Depending on the project, options to provide post-construction maintenance of systems may be included.  All DB activities are to consider joint occupancy of the site to accommodate other VA executed contracts prior to BOD especially for IT, equipment, low-voltage systems, relocated equipment and systems, security systems, furniture and artwork and other post construction installations.
