Background

Requirements

  • Maintain the current GEOINT Information Management Systems (GIMS) baseline, modernize the code baseline and integrate new sensors for tasking by NGA Source, NGA Sensor Programs and other external mission partner agencies. New capabilities from externally developed contractors may also need integration into the GIMS technical baseline.
  • The GEOINT Collection NeXt (GCX) contract is designed to ensure the continued sustainment of the legacy GEOINT Information Management Services (GIMS) baseline, while also supporting modernization and evolution of GIMS capabilities. GIMS, along with its related sub-components, provides critical capabilities to enable efficient and timely GEOINT management across multiple provider types for NGA and the Intelligence Community (IC) and is the primary component of the baseline managed under the GCX Contract.
