Requirements

  • The U.S. Government is seeking interested vendors that can produce the Hydra-70 2.75 inch rocket system as per the U.S. Government Technical Data Package (TDP). However, if a vendor chooses to provide information regarding a proposed replacement to the Hydra-70 2.75 inch rocket system, the Government will review these solutions and the benefits to either performance or producibility/cost must be clearly defined. If a vendor chooses to provide information regarding a proposed replacement to the Hydra-70 2.75 inch rocket system, it must be able to be rapidly qualified and integrated on host platforms, and it must be producible at scale. Variants of interest to the USG include all up rounds with the M151 (guided and unguided), M255A2, M274, and WTU-1/B warheads or equivalent systems.
  • The Hydra-70 TDP is available upon request to qualified respondents with the ability to handle Controlled Unclassified Information and appropriately manage documents with limited access/rights and distribution control guidelines. If interested in building to the legacy Hydra-70 TDP, note that the U.S. Government would be willing to work with the vendor to make reasonable adjustments to the TDP to comply with modern manufacturing practices and standards. The M261 Lightweight Rocket Launcher Interface Control Document (ICD) is available on request to qualified respondents. The Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System ICD is available on request to qualified respondents.
  • If providing a response to build the Hydra-70 2.75 inch rocket system to the USG TDP, the vendor has the option to assume the MK 90 grain will be provided as Government Furnished Material.
