Requirements

  • Contractor shall completely prepare project site for operations, including demolition and removal of existing site elements, and furnish labor and materials and perform construction work for Project 518-22-700, EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades – Bedford VAMC as required by drawings and specifications.
  • This project will include but not limited to the following infrastructure improvements:
  • General construction, alterations, and necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. Contract documents, drawings, and specifications, indicate the scope of work. The purpose of this project is to address deficiencies and upgrade communications cabling Telecommunications Rooms (TR) and Main Computer Room (MCR) located within multiple buildings on campus and site infrastructure. Project scope also includes the phased replacement existing with a new Main Computer Room building. Temporary fiber shall be provided between existing MCR and New MCR and existing demarcation rooms and new. This project provides the new construction, renovation, and infrastructure required to provide new telecommunications infrastructure, including (but limited to): new Fiber Optic Cable and new CAT 6a telecommunications cable to all locations, Work Area Outlets (WAO), racks, UPS, power supplies and associated electrical distribution equipment, new HVAC, new CCTV, new Fire Protection and Fire Alarm, new Advanced Utility Monitoring System and new PACS and doors for all buildings in this project.
