Requirements

  • Construction could include all types of Army and Air Force facilities to include administration, vehicle maintenance, training, flight line, dormitory, access control, repair shops, warehouses, and similar type facilities.
  • Mobile District performs studies, investigations, designs, repairs, and construction throughout the AOR and has developed an acquisition approach to meet the demanding major design and construction project requirements of its customers. Each project is assigned a Project Delivery Team comprised of various organizational elements within the Mobile District, including technical (Engineering and Construction Divisions), contracting, legal, project management (including the Chief of the Office of Small Business Programs), as well as the end user and facilities’ engineering organizations.
  • The Mobile District fields an in-house staff that provides project management, technical, contracting, legal, and resource management services to support facility life-cycle programs. The Mobile District’s contracting responsibilities for the facilities support includes acquisition planning, procurement actions leading up to award of contracts with associated preparation of documentation and approvals, and administration of the resulting contracts, including award and administration of individual task orders.
