Requirements

  • Construction of a new Child Development Center (16,632 sf) with adjacent outdoor play areas (16,667 sf) for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years of age. The facility will include all required program spaces including kitchen facilities, building information systems, fire protection and alarm systems, Intrusion Detection System (IDS) installation, and Energy Monitoring Control Systems (EMCS) connection. In addition, the facility will include an outdoor play area with age-appropriate child development equipment, safety surfacing and fencing.
  • Supporting facilities include site development, utilities and connections, lighting, paving, parking, walks, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, Low Impact Development (LID), information systems, landscaping and signage. Work will include installation of video monitoring, alarm and intercom systems. Heating and air conditioning will be provided by self-contained system. Construction will include the Department of Defense (DoD) Minimum Antiterrorism for Buildings standards.  Access for individuals with disabilities will be provided. Cyber Security Measures will be incorporated into this project, and Sustainability/Energy measures will be provided.
