Requirements

The contractor shall provide specific tasks that include:

  • Developing a strategy for each division to achieve scanning, indexing, correlating, storing, and retrieving documents and media from each department to a new commercial solution or leveraging an existing Navy or DoD system. At a minimum, the system will be a commercial off-the-shelf solution with minimal customization aspects that will provide an intuitive user interface for leveraging additional capability. Mission Support expects the benefits will improve processing efficiencies, accuracy levels, productivity, and auditability while decreasing manual input and reducing the risk of lost documents, imaging, and media.
  • A 100% cloud-based solution that will be used globally by thin clients and provide an intelligent document capture solution with the following capabilities: Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Optical Mark Recognition (OMR), Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR); an automatic document/data classification platform; and separation with unlimited extraction fields (at no additional cost) that is capable of being used by thin clients scanning via Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI). Additionally, the system will be configured in a selected cloud-based solution provider, such as Azure Government or Amazon Gov-Cloud Services, for testing, development, and staging environments. Currently, ONR is leveraging AWS Amazon Gov-Cloud services through our Navy Broker.
