Requirements

Work consists of furnishing all labor, supplies, materials, supervision, transportation, and equipment required for repair and minor construction of Building 47. Building 47 is a single story facility, constructed of masonry units, built-up roofing on metal decking over steel joists, approximately 6,814 SF. Work required includes renovation of the existing structure to construct three (3) large offices, one (1) small and three (3) small multipurpose rooms, two (2) server rooms, a conference room, a mother’s room, restrooms, a utility room and breakroom. Work will also include two additions of over 5,000 SF. The west addition shall include the new building entry, a lobby, two (2) small offices, a large auditorium, a large multipurpose room, and a large office, covered by an extension of the existing roof. An addition on the south side shall have five (5) offices. The parking lot and landscaping shall be repaired as designed. Any suspect asbestos containing materials that are encountered during demolition or observed to be present during renovation activities, shall be sampled and analyzed for asbestos and shall treated, handled, and disposed of accordingly. Lead abatement will be required. The office rooms, large auditorium, multipurpose rooms and briefing rooms, inside renovated area, and new addition (except lobby and two (2) offices inside the lobby), are to be constructed to meet the requirements of ICD-705 Physical Security requirements. New power, communication, plumbing, drains, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Fire Alarm & Mass Notification System and fire suppression are required for the project. All conduits, J- boxes, electrical power, grounding, and communication circuits to support a new Access Control System (ACS), and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) shall be provided.
