Requirements

  • This current switchgear is original equipment and is causing increased reliability and operational risks due to obsolete parts and age. This project is for the replacement of the complete medium voltage switchgear system which includes cabling, all generator instrumentation transformers, benchboard modifications including new metering, control switches and internal wiring, revisions to existing protective relaying settings as required, surge arrestors, and interface wiring for alarm, communication, and control. This project also replaces asbestos cable tray with a new cable tray. This project will increase the reliability of the power distribution with the replacement of outdated obsolete equipment.
