Requirements

  • This contract is intended to provide NASA SMA departments with support to effectively perform risk-based mission assurance. In addition, it reflects the desired excellence in safety, risk management, reliability engineering, quality engineering and mission
  • assurance at the centers. In supporting NASA SMA departments, the Contractor shall provide a risk-based approach, as defined in NPR/GPR8705.4, to the flow-down, tailoring, and implementation of the following mission assurance services:
    • Flight, Operations, and Ground Systems Assurance
    • System Safety Engineering
    • Range Safety Engineering
    • Reliability Engineering (Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability)
    • Mission Software Assurance Engineering
    • Quality Engineering
    • Workmanship Services
    • Metrology and Calibration/Repair Service of Measurement and Test Equipment
    • Lifting Devices Engineering and Pressure Vessel Systems Certification
    • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Control
    • Training
    • Systems and Heritage Reviews
    • Quality Management Systems
    • Range Operations
    • Explosives Safety program management
    • Range Flight Safety Analysis
    • Flight Termination System Analysis
    • Range Safety Software Safety Analysis
  • Additionally, the Contractor shall be required to provide Program Development support to NASA/GSFC SMA Directorate operations and development initiatives, aimed at improving the quality-of-service delivery, and expanding the range of services provided, and fostering stronger relationships with internal and external customers and partners
