Requirements

  • This project will construct a new 3,816-foot-long by 75-foot-wide Portland cement concrete (PCC)-surfaced taxiway extension (including 50-foot-wide asphalt concrete shoulders) to support C-5M aircraft and transient aircraft scheduled for isochronal maintenance in support of global airlift missions.
  • This project also includes all related earthwork, grading, drainage, utility relocations (electrical, communications), edge lighting, signage, and pavement markings.
  • An approved location for the contractor to have an onsite batch plant in proximity to the project site is tentative.
  • Approved FAA and MASSDEP permits by the contractor are a requirement for this project as well as approval by the US Army Corps of Engineers Transport Center of Expertise for the airfield mix designs.
