Requirements

  • The project involves construction of laboratory and support space for Subsea and Seabed Warfare Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) facility for Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWCPCD)Team. The proposed two-story building provides required facilities for RDT&E of autonomous unmanned systems to support emerging work in subsea and seabed warfare (SSW). The project will provide access for launch and recovery of the unmanned systems in the Gulf of Mexico. The SSW RDT&E facility will enable concurrent and rapid transition to Research and Development (R&D) in collaboration with Science and Technology (S&T) programs in areas of adaptive sensors, unmanned systems, sensing and reporting, assured and multidomain communications, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
