Requirements

  • The work includes painting Tainter gates and incidental related work. Base bid items include blast cleaning, painting, replace tainter gate J-Bulb seals to include replacement of seal bolts with stainless steel and isolater kits, and anode replacement of Tainter gates 1, 2, 3,and 4. Additional work in the base bid includes repair of specific steel components on the Tainter gates, miscellaneous grinding and welding on the Tainter gate’s steel components, stoplog installation, and flood demobilization.
  • Optional bid items include Tainter gates 5 and 6, blast cleaning, painting, replace Tainter gate J-Bulb seals to include replacement of seal bolts with stainless steel and isolator kits, and anode replacement of additional Tainter gates as identified by the contracting officer. Design and fabricate mobile working platform segments for tainter gate sections. To be reviewed by Government for acceptance, platform load weight requirements to be provided by the government.
