Requirements

  • Phase 1: Build a new data center. Build a new entry room. Refinish OIT reception room. Upgrade electrical system to support new data center. Provide new CRAC units and HVAC to support the new data center. Old data center is to remain operational during phase 1. Contractor to provide protection for access to and from said spaces during construction. General contractor is connecting all campus data to new data center and is to commission data center before phase 2 is to begin.
  • Phase 2: Demolish old data center and remaining office space. Build new office spec as shown in the drawings. Reception room and new data center are to remain operational during the construction of this phase. Electrical, Mechanical, and Telecommunication systems will require detailed sequencing, phasing, and coordination to ensure an operational MCR while the new MCR is being built. Contractor will splice all existing connections from old data center location to new data center location, to ensure complete functionality. Switch over down time will be coordinated closely with existing IT department.
