Tinker AFB MACC Background

Tinker Air Force Base is home to the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) Headquarters and includes a large industrial complex that performs overhaul functions on numerous airframes, engines, and accessories, as well as software support. Tinker Air Force Base is also home to three major flying wings: Air Force Air Combat Command’s (ACC) 552d Air Control Wing; Navy’s Strategic Communications Wing ONE; and the Air Force Reserve Command’s (AFRC) 507th Air Refueling Wing. Other major associate Units on Tinker Air Force Base include the 38th Cyberspace Engineering Installation Group (CEIG) located just east of Douglas Boulevard and the Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA) Defense Distribution Center Oklahoma City.

The facilities on base range from large industrial buildings which support overhaul and testing of aircraft, aircraft parts, engines and airframes to office space, warehouses, computer facilities, dining facilities, dormitories, medical facilities, and other community support facilities such as the base exchange and commissary.
