Roads, Virginia NAVFAC MIDLANT Area of Responsibility (AOR).

performing the proposed contracts.

As stated in the notice, this area includes the following installations:

1. Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia, and outlying facilities within 50 miles of Naval Station, Norfolk;
2. Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek Fort Story, Virginia Beach and outlying facilities within 50
miles of Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek; Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach including Dam

Neck Naval Training Centre, Virginia Beach, and outlying facilities within 50 miles of Naval Air Station
Ocean;
3. Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, York County, Virginia including Cheatham Annex, Williamsburg,
and outlying facilities within 50 Miles of Naval Weapons Station Yorktown; Norfolk Naval Shipyard,
Portsmouth including Portsmouth Naval Hospital, and St. Juliens Creek Annex, Portsmouth and
outlying properties within 50 miles of Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Alleghany Ballistics Laboratory, MCB
Camp Lejeune, MCAS Cherry Point as well as auxiliary installations in North Carolina associated with
those installations, MCAS Beaufort, MCRD Parris Island as well as auxiliary installations in South
Carolina associated with those installations.
Some of the working conditions mentioned that the Contractor is expected to provide the personnel,
tools, equipment, materials, transportation, and management to perform the services as required
and negotiated in each individual task order.
The work includes performing indefinite quantity work such as maintenance, repair, and/ or
construction directed by the Contracting Officer via issued Task Orders. In addition, these services
may include different tasks and systems according to established procedures which will be stated in
a more detailed way when the official solicitation is issued.

WHAT THE INDUSTRY NEEDS TO KNOW:

1. It is anticipated approximately three (3) to five (5) contracts will be awarded as a result of this
potential solicitation.
2. The duration of the contract(s) will be for one year from the date of contract award with four (4)
one-year option periods.
3. The total five–year (base and four one-year options) estimated cost for all contracts will not
exceed $30 million for the life of the contract.
4. The preponderance of the work issued under these contracts will be between $50,000 and
$250,000; however, smaller and larger dollar value projects may be considered.
5. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is
562910 – Environmental Remediation Services, with a size standard of 500 employees.
