Background

Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD) is located in Indian Head, Maryland and resides on two campuses called, Indian Head Campus and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Campus.  The Information Technology Division, Code 104 and the Information Services Branch (ISB), Code D13 of the Information Management Division, Code D1 provide IT services and products to Command personnel and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) community. Software application development, electronic publication distribution, incident reporting, technical support services and supplying unclassified and classifieds networks for research, development and testing are just a few of the ways the Information Technology Division and ISB support NSWC IHEODTD and the EOD warfighter.

Requirements

  • The Contractor shall:
    • Provide support of network administration, software development, product distribution, and information assurance at NSWC IHEODTD.
      • This entails the performance of those duties that ensure that the NSWC IHEODTD Secret Internet Protocol (SIPR), Defense Research Engineering Network (DREN), Secret Defense Research Engineering Network (SDREN) and unclassified and classified systems remain operating properly, to include performing required upgrades to hardware and software; hard-wired equipment, connectivity issues, user access, software applications and installation functions, integration of peripherals and systems related to classified development, support and maintenance of Joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal Network (JEODNET) SIPRNET, and other computer systems used.
      • This also includes software and system development efforts, primarily focused on operations and maintenance support for the Program of Record (POR) Joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal Decision Support System (JEOD DSS), the Serena internal workflow system, Research Development Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) Stand-alone computers, and product duplication and distribution.
